Welcome to EnergieTakt Nuclear

EnergieTakt Nuclear collects public data and shows visualizations about nuclear power plants in Europe.

Follow this short tour to learn about the features of the dashboard.

➜

The Map

The central element of the dashboard is the map of Europe. Regions with active nuclear power plants are displayed in white. Individual nuclear power plants are shown as dots. The color indicates what proportion of the installed capacity is currently available.

➜ ➜

Regional overview

By clicking on a region, you can select it. On the right, you can see the hourly availability and electricity production of nuclear power plants in the selected region for the last three days. Hover over the chart to view the legend and the numerical values.

➜ ➜

Selection area

Above, you find the selection area. All nuclear power plants in the selected region are listed here and can be selected individually.

➜ ➜

Power plant overview

By clicking on a power plant in the selection area or on the map, you can select it. The chart now shows the availability and electricity production of the selected power plant; and the selection area lists the individual units of the selected power plant.

Please note that in some regions power plant-specific production values are published with a delay of 5 to 30 days. We have no influence on this delay.

➜ ➜

Power plant unit

By clicking on a power plant unit, you can select it. The chart now shows the availability and electricity production of the selected unit. Hover over the chart to see information about outages.

➜ ➜

Time slider

You can also change the time displayed on the map of Europe using the time slider.

Use the πŸ”„ button to reset to the most recent time, or jump one day backward or forward using ◀️/▢️.

➜ ➜

Settings

Below the time slider, you find the settings menu.

➜ ➜

Calendar

Under 'Time span' you find three quick buttons which allow you to switch between the last 3, 7, or 14 days. Or click on the date field to open the calendar and select a custom time span - the dashboard offers data back to 2016.
